Traditional Hopi Pueblo wedding vase, 10 ½”H x 5
¼”W, signed by Kathleen Collateta Sandia, currently living at Jemez
Pueblo, NM. This pot is made from clay dug on the Hopi Reservation, Polacca,
AZ. by Kathleen’s father for use by her grandmother, mother, sisters and
herself. It is a coil built pot, hand painted with traditional classical Hopi
feather design and fired in an open, above ground firing. Kathleen learned her
pottery skill from her grandmother Sarah Collateta, Polacca, AZ., and her
mother, a Jemez Pueblo lady married to Kathleen’s Hopi/Tewa father, Kachina
carver Tom Collateta. $200.00
